Matwork Classes
When performed correctly, Pilates exercise is the perfect, low impact way to strengthen your core, lengthen your muscles and improve your flexibility. Our Pilates matwork classes are limited to small groups so that we can keep an eye on everyone in the session helping you with your posture and body alignment to ensure you get the maximum benefit from every session.
We offer a range of different matwork classes (see below for detailed descriptions), and our professional and friendly instructors always ensure our Pilates classes are relaxed, fun and highly effective. We incorporate small equipment including balls, bands and weights into our matwork classes to increase the intensity of the Pilates exercises further as you get stronger.
Would you like to join one of our Pilates matwork classes?
Our matwork classes are booked advance in blocks of 6-8 weeks, typically following school term times. If you are recovering from an injury/operation, if you have a medical condition or if you are completely new to Pilates, we do require you to have an introductory one-to-one session first. This is so we can take you through the foundations of Pilates and to complete a health assessment for any exercise modifications that might be needed.

Our Matwork Classes

Beginners-to-Intermediate
Welcoming, feel-good class ideal for beginners or anyone returning to Pilates. Improve strength, posture, and balance with the opportunity to progress the level and pace of the exercises individually with the use of small equipment as your own strength and stability improves.

Intermediate-to-Advanced
This class is designed for those with some prior Pilates experience. We focus on posture, strength, balance and co-ordination, using weights, bands and balls to progress the intensity of the exercises further at your own pace.

Advanced Level
An advanced class for those with a good level of Pilates experience. We use weights to build strength at the same time as focusing on posture, stability and co-ordination.

Men’s Pilates
A mixed ability men’s class focusing on posture, strength and stability, using weights, bands and balls to progress the intensity of the exercises at your own pace.

Online Sessions
If our in-studio Pilates classes are not for you, we also offer weekly matwork classes online via Zoom and a monthly subscription to our Pilates YouTube Channel. Please visit the Online Sessions section of this website for full details about our online options.
